TAM strengthens its presence in Europe

TAM Brazilian Airlines signs cargo GSSA agreement with Air Logistics Group in France 

Paris , FRANCE – TAM has signed an exclusive agreement with General Sales and Service Agent (GSSA) Air Logistics Group. With effect from 1 st January 2007 Air Logistics Group will provide all sales, service and support functions for TAM’s cargo operation in France . 

TAM currently operates double daily A330 services from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport direct to Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo . On 12 th January 2007 TAM will launch a third daily non stop service from Paris to Galeão International Airport in Rio de Janeiro . The new service will be operated by a MD11 aircraft. 

“As TAM develops its long-haul international network we believe it’s essential to enhance our commercial presence across Europe and maximise awareness of the brand and our cargo services. We have made a strategic decision to do so by introducing new GSSA partnerships.”

The Air Logistics Group has offices in Paris, Lyon and Marseille and they will provide total sales and marketing coverage across France . Furthermore, TAM’s services from Paris will be supported by the group’s extensive European network.

TAM, established in 1961, is now Brazil ’s number one airline. TAM operates more than 600 daily departures to 48 domestic destinations. International routes include New York , Miami , Paris , Buenos Aires , Santiago and they recently launched daily services to London Heathrow.
